SHORT DESCRIPTION

New features of the preserved context. The life is open to the street.

The Charodiyka is a common mane of the entire neighborhood, which hosts the former barbershop with the same name. One side borders on a quiet courtyard, while the other absorbs all the dust and noise from the active street of Ivan Franko.

The motion and tranquility context dictated the location of new functions. The program idea is to show the movement and openness of art spaces to the street in contrast to the often-needed peace of the rooms, oriented to the courtyard. In the interior, these two functions are integrated through a corridor that visually opens into the exhibition space.

Exhibition spaces are linked by one promenade that demonstrates the life of the building. The new image emphasizes the house value as an integral part of the block, completing the street line.
